Why Keystone Resort
Posted March 3, 2015
Quality skiing and snowboarding and accessibility are usually the two key ingredients for any successful snow-based vacation.
Well, Keystone Resort has them both – plus numerous other special attractions that entice avid skiers and family groups to keep going back there time and time again.
Need to know more? Well, consider some of the amazing things Keystone has to offer:
Snow activities: Keystone embraces Summit County’s largest mountain. With approximately 3,150 skiable acres, 2 gondolas (including a new 8-person gondola in River Run village) and 20 ski lifts, there are all sorts of runs and trails for everyone.
Add in snowboarding, plus the largest night skiing operation in Colorado, and ice-skating on the largest outdoor (5 acres) maintained rink in North America.
Then there is the safe, fun Children’s Ski and Ride School with qualified, experienced instructors.
Need to rent skis or a snowboard or other equipment? Naturally, Keystone provides state-of-the-art advanced skis or snowboard rentals as it has a partnership with rentskis.com.
Accessibility: The transfer from Denver International Airport is just 90 minutes, making Keystone easily accessible from many major cities. It’s just what you need after a flight, minimal travel downtime, unless of course you’re coming up from Denver by car – it’s even easier then!
Accommodation: Over 1200 lodging facilities such as hotels, bed and breakfasts or even 1-5 bedroom condos to choose from in two purpose built ski villages. Dedicated reservations staff and mountain concierges make booking and checking in/checking out seamless.
Dining and recreation: Quite a few Wine Spectator and Zagat-rated AAA 4 Diamond restaurants are located within the two villages; with cuisines and food styles for everyone. And, there’s a new, luxury 10,000 sq. ft. spa in the Keystone Lodge for you to indulge in some quality, relaxing après-ski time
Non-snow activities: Too numerous to mention, although Adventure Point offers one of Colorado’s best tubing spots at the summit of Mount Dercum.
What are you waiting for? You deserve a break; check out the Keystone Ski Resort community, and you’ll probably enjoy it so much you’ll go back again next year!
